As Covid cases have dipped across #West Bengal, the state government has allowed the offering of namaz on Red Road for Eid in 2022. The #festival’s morning saw an array of dark clouds and thunderstorms but people were seen offering namaz on Red Road amidst the heavy rainfall. Eid marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramazan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. People across the country are celebrating Eid today with great pomp and show, which is one of the most important festivals for the Muslim community. West Bengal #Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and #TMC# leader Abhishek Banerjee participated in the prayer for Eid-ul-Fitr held on a rain-drenched Red Road in Kolkata. The organisers had secured permission from the authorities to hold Eid prayers at Red Road this year.The prayers were cancelled on Red Road in 2020 and 2021 as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus. Speaking to India Today, a devotee said,”It was a happy event as things were getting normal after 2 years of covid and they had missed offering namaz on Red Road in the past two years.” MAMATA SENDS STRONG MESSAGE Banerjee asserted that the current situation in the country is not ‘fine’ and said, “In the near future, we have to fight against the power which is trying to break the country. We pray that we will remove that power.” “All of us need to stay together. The divide and rule policy which is happening in the country is not right. The politics of isolation is not good. We want unity. We are Indians. We have right to stay together. Bengal will show the way of peace. Will not do anything that will make you sad. I will not let that happen,” the TMC Supremo said. The CM also urged people not to be scared but to stay united for a better future. Banerjee, who addressed a gathering of around 14,000 people for the Eid prayer on Red Road, was quoted by PTI as saying, “neither I nor my party nor my government will do anything which will make you sad”. “We will live, fight together. Have faith in me. I have never broken anyone’s trust in my life. My parents have taught me to take everyone and work. Make your children doctors, professors, IAS IPS. Our ADG is Jamim Shamim, our minister is Firhad Hakim. We work with everyone,” she added. دو سال کے وقفے کے بعد کولکتہ کے ریڈ روڈ پر لوگوں نے عید الفطر کی نماز ادا کی اور منگل کی صبح عید کی نماز ادا کی گئی۔ چونکہ مغربی بنگال میں کوویڈ کے معاملات میں کمی آئی ہے، ریاستی حکومت نے 2022 میں عید کے لیے ریڈ روڈ پر نماز کی ادائیگی کی اجازت دے دی ہے۔ تہوار کی صبح سیاہ بادلوں اور گرج چمک کی ایک صف دیکھی گئی لیکن لوگوں کو شدید بارش کے درمیان ریڈ روڈ پر نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا گیا۔ عید رمضان کے مقدس مہینے کے اختتام کی نشاندہی کرتی ہے، اسلامی مقدس ماہ روزہ۔ ملک بھر میں لوگ آج عید بڑی شان و شوکت کے ساتھ منا رہے ہیں، جو کہ امت مسلمہ کے لیے اہم ترین تہواروں میں سے ایک ہے۔ مغربی بنگال کی وزیر اعلیٰ ممتا بنرجی اور ٹی ایم سی لیڈر ابھیشیک بنرجی نے کولکتہ میں بارش سے بھیگے ہوئے ریڈ روڈ پر عید الفطر کی نماز میں شرکت کی۔ منتظمین نے اس سال ریڈ روڈ پر نماز عید کے انعقاد کے لیے حکام سے اجازت حاصل کی تھی۔ وائرس کے پھیلاؤ کو روکنے کے لیے احتیاطی تدابیر کے طور پر 2020 اور 2021 میں ریڈ روڈ پر نماز کو منسوخ کر دیا گیا تھا۔ ایک عقیدت مند نے کہا، “یہ ایک خوش کن واقعہ تھا کیونکہ کووڈ کے 2 سال بعد حالات معمول پر آ رہے تھے اور وہ پچھلے دو سالوں میں ریڈ روڈ پر نماز ادا کرنا چھوڑ چکے تھے۔” ممتا نے سخت پیغام بھیجا۔ بنرجی نے زور دے کر کہا کہ ملک کی موجودہ صورتحال ‘ٹھیک’ نہیں ہے اور کہا، “مستقبل قریب میں، ہمیں اس طاقت کے خلاف لڑنا ہے جو ملک کو توڑنے کی کوشش کر رہی ہے۔ ہم دعا کرتے ہیں کہ ہم اس طاقت کو ختم کر دیں۔” “ہم سب کو ایک ساتھ رہنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ ملک میں جو تقسیم کرو اور حکومت کرو، وہ ٹھیک نہیں ہے۔ تنہائی کی سیاست اچھی نہیں ہے۔ ہم اتحاد چاہتے ہیں، ہم ہندوستانی ہیں، ہمیں ساتھ رہنے کا حق ہے۔ بنگال دکھائے گا۔ امن کا راستہ۔ ایسا کچھ نہیں کروں گا جس سے آپ غمگین ہوں۔ میں ایسا نہیں ہونے دوں گا، “ٹی ایم سی سپریمو نے کہا۔ وزیراعلیٰ نے لوگوں سے ڈرنے کی نہیں بلکہ بہتر مستقبل کے لیے متحد رہنے کی تاکید کی۔ بنرجی، جنہوں نے ریڈ روڈ پر عید کی نماز کے لیے تقریباً لوگوں کے ایک اجتماع سے خطاب کیا، “نہ میں، نہ میری پارٹی اور نہ ہی میری حکومت کوئی ایسا کام کرے گی جس سے آپ کو دکھ پہنچے”۔ “ہم رہیں گے، ساتھ لڑیں گے۔ مجھ پر بھروسہ رکھیں۔ میں نے اپنی زندگی میں کبھی کسی کا بھروسہ نہیں توڑا ہے۔ میرے والدین نے مجھے سب کو ساتھ لے کر کام کرنا سکھایا ہے۔ اپنے بچوں کو ڈاکٹر، پروفیسر، آئی اے ایس آئی پی ایس بنائیں۔ ہمارے اے ڈی جی جمائم شمیم ہیں، ہمارے وزیر فرہاد حکیم ہیں۔ ہم سب کے ساتھ مل کر کام کرتے ہیں۔”
