IranSociety Kolkata celebrates 78th Foundation Day in the presence of its Members and Well-wishers this evening
. Mr Bahadur Savaksha Postwalla, Trustee of Calcutta Zoroastrian Community’s Religious and Charity Fund graced the occasion as Guest-in-Chief, and Mrs Maina Bhagat, Director of Oxford Bookstores Private Limited and Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival as Guest-of-Honour. Sardar Kawal Singh Walia presided over the event. The General Secretary of the IranSociety Kolkata Mr Khwaja Jaweed Yusuf presented a brief resume of the Society.
Ms Saira Shah Halim introduced the Hon’ble Guests Ms Maina Bhagat and Mr Bahadur Savaksha Postal.
Mr Md. Wakil recited the Persian Ghazal of Amir Khusrow and Dr Iftekhar Ahmed, Assistant General Secretary presented his self-composed poem. Professor Dr Ram Ahlad Choudhury of the Hindi Department of the University of Calcutta proposed the hearty Vote of thanks.
