Rabindranath Tagore guldasta e Aqeeda Rabindra Sadan Kolkata Urdu tarjuma and gazal…

It turned out to be a truly historical and memorable event this evening at Rabindra Sadan with the release of Guldasta e Aqeedat a collection of the translation of Tagore’s song prayers from Gitanjali in Urdu translated by Sohail Ahmad Faruqui of JMI Delhi and it’s musical rendition by Dr .Md. Zakariah of Karim City College under the auspices of Society for Promotion of Arts and Culture. While introducing the singer Pankaj Jha reiterated that music was Dr.Sb’s passion and not profession. Moulding Tagore-the mystic bard of India’s song in either Bhairavi, Darbari Raag was not an easy task keeping its spirituality in tact. Dr. Zakaria continued Roohaniyat paedari bakhshti hai. Aafaqiyat ka alambardar hoti hai. It transgresses time and space and all man made physical barriers. Unki lahja uluhiyat aur shaeri afaqui hai. He reiterated. Zahir Anwar quoting Sisir Kumar Ghosh stated Tagore didn’t write from his pen but from the whole of his existence and quoting E.E.Cummins said “Your head is a living forest full of song birds” Tagore’s poetry Kainat ke asrar se bhara hua tha. In all his creation there is love of God. Love of nature Touching sensibility is there. He was a versatile genius. A Multidimensional personae. Hayat o kainat ke asrar ke ramooz ko Tagore ne samajhne ki sayee ki hai. Tagore ke lahje ka Nishatia pahlu hai. Eminent Prof. Barun Kumar Chakraborty stated: This is a program of appreciation for 3 reasons First it’s a college from Jamshedpur conducting here in Kolkata. Urdu translation of Tagore’s poems have been done since 1912 but sung for the first time in Urdu. Third producing an album exclusively for Tagore is an outstanding accomplishment Sohail Ahmad Faruqui : Narasai ka karb. Unhone kaha Mausiqui do tarah ki hoti hai baqaul Makhdoom Mohiuddin. Ek Fanni mosiqui dopsri Ghair funni…jaise Kashti ka geet, kisanon ka geet….#jkvkolkatanews Mujhe Tagore ke kalaam mein ek Rusticity mehsoos hoti hai. Faruqui Sahebs translation was marvellous as well as his voice he lent to the rendition. Yahya Ibrahim compered the program with elan. Ms. Zakariah expressed a lovely and lively vote of thanks. It truly turned out to be memorable evening. All.my best wishes to Zakariah Saheb and his entire team and to SpARc for bringing such a lovely program here in Kolkata. #Manzar Jameel #Rabindra Sadan #KarimCityCollege Jamshedpur #society of promotion #art and culture #jkvkolkatanews
